Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Embedded software development of electronic stability control and electromechanical brake system for OEM / niche and small series customer projects. Development and configuration of base software components and ma intenance of existing software. In accordance with defined ASPICE compliant software development processes including requirements engineering, concept and design review, implementation, integration, component and system test, release, and delivery of complete software for prototype baseline, sample, or series. Responsibility for project-specific base /infrastructural software component development and/or complete software integration, testing and release. functional and software requirements engineering incl. elicitation, evaluation, definition and allocation architectural and software design for project-specific change requests integration, verification and validation of software changes performance of unit, component, integration and release testing responsibility for setup and maintenance of Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) / Simulation-In-Loop (SIL) test environments responsibility for Software release to customer and plant support of team members in lab and/or vehicle, trouble-shooting and problem-solving lead or participate in quality initiatives such as defect management, quality gates and risk assessments participate in continuous improvement and competence management activities train and mentor less experienced software and test engineers documentation of work results and report/feedback to line management travel to customer meetings and/or offsite team activities (less than10%) perform other duties as assigned. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 Years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Integrator, or occupation involving embedded software development in the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) C/C++ programming; (2) CAN, CAN- FD, UDS, J1939 or other automotive communication protocols incl. software implementation; (3) Automotive software development processes (e.g. Automotive SPICE); (4) AUTOSAR Software architecture, configuration and integration; and (5) Application lifecycle management tools (e.g. IBM Rational ALM or DOORS).
