Sr. Software Engineer - Java

We are currently searching for a Sr. Software Engineer - Java:

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, secure code that is modular, functional, and testable, applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and modern frameworks.
• Design, create, test, and deploy new technology to optimize service performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with technical leads and product managers to define features and write user stories that align with project requirements.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle (planning, coding, testing, deploying, and supporting applications).
• Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance efforts, ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Actively contribute to Agile discussions and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
• Seek opportunities to enhance standards and streamline processes, improving team efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven Backend development expertise with a strong focus on microservices architecture.

• Strong expertise in Java using the Spring/Spring Boot framework.
• Strong background in RESTful APIs and JSON/SOAP-based APIs built with Java.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven frameworks and messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
• Experience working in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, Cloud Foundry).
• Proficiency with automated testing practices.
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Experience building global-scale, high-quality solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Desired:

• Experience with AWS deployment and GitOps practices.

Languages

• Advanced Oral English.
• Native Spanish.
