As a Software Engineer in the Product Engineering team at Cyara, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and optimization of the software solutions that make up the Cyara portfolio. You will gather product requirements from Product Management, review, provide feedback and collaborate to turn them into working software that satisfies market needs. You will develop, revise, and maintain software artifacts and product engineering processes/methodologies to meet functional, scale, and performance criteria.
Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
- Innovative Software Development: Utilise cutting-edge software development tools to drive innovation, efficiency, and quality in the development of applications for a commercially hosted Asterisk platform. The primary focus of this position is to develop our product offering and leverage NLP technologies to deliver a best in class user experience
- Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Share knowledge and communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) across the organisation to align feature development with overall business objectives.
- Contribute to the technical design: Work with relevant stakeholders to decide the technologies needed to provide the best possible product for the company and our customers.
- Problem Identification and Resolution: Analyse, identify, and address problems or bugs to ensure a seamless and error-free user interface.
- Active Participation in Agile Processes: Engage actively in Agile team meetings, contributing to iterative development processes to implement feedback and deliver high quality solutions quickly.
Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:
- 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
- Proficient in some or all of the following: C, C++, Python, AWS, REST API
- Accustomed to writing well-structured maintainable code.
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems preferred
- Good understanding of MySQL
- Familiarity with Amazon Lex or similar NLP tools
- Be accustomed to ISO procedures for development, change control and information management
- Some exposure to scripting languages like Perl, PHP
- Ability to work on different codebases, and frameworks
- Good understanding and experience in modern software design/software engineering such as modern web application development (CI/CD, Docker, Git)
- Kubernetes experience an advantage
- Strong analytical, design, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and customer focus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced programming skills with a willingness to learn new technologies in all parts of the stack
In-Office Requirement
This role requires in-person collaboration at our Skibbereen, Ireland office at least twice per month. We believe that a hybrid approach supports team connection and productivity, combining the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of regular face-to-face interaction.
