What We’re Looking For
Required skills:
8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven expertise with Elixir and OTP principles
Proficiency using a variety of database technology, both relational and non-relational, and in particular PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, performance tuning, JSONB, indexing strategies)
Hands on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, S3, Aurora)
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, testable code (TDD/BDD practices mandatory)
Experience working in Agile teams (code reviews, refinement, demos, CI/CD practices)
Good understanding of version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
Nice to have:
Experience with Phoenix framework
Knowledge of observability tools (AppSignal, Datadog, etc.)
Experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL and other technologies that we use to link to other parts of our systems

Designing and developing server-side features in Elixir/Phoenix backed by PostgreSQL
Deploying and managing cloud workloads in AWS with scalability and resilience in mind
Leading architecture discussions and solving complex engineering challenges
Working on new and existing projects that power a point-of-sale geared towards convenience stores
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers
Writing, reviewing, and improving code through peer reviews and unit/integration testing
