About the CDI Experience Organization:

The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Center, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity to AI. You will play a key role in ensuring the right sizing, right skillset, and core competency across these product areas.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable APIs, microservices and data access services for business-critical domains such as master data. 

• Build high-performance integrations with third-party systems and enterprise platforms, ensuring data is available, consistent and secure to consume. 

• Design cloud-native, event-driven solutions using modern integration patterns, including REST, GraphQL, asynchronous messaging and event streaming. 

• Work closely with architects, platform engineers, product teams and other engineering teams to define robust technical solutions aligned with business needs. 

• Model, structure and optimize data for high-volume transactional and read-heavy workloads. 

• Contribute to architecture decisions around scalability, resilience, caching, observability, security and system performance. 

• Identify technical debt and proactively recommend improvements to architecture, code quality and operational stability. 

• Support release management, CI/CD practices, monitoring, incident analysis and continuous improvement of production systems. 

• Ensure that systems are built according to engineering best practices, including testing, automation, security, maintainability and documentation. 

Required experience:

• 8+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering, preferably with experience from data-intensive or high-volume transactional systems. 

• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices and cloud-native backend services. 

• Strong programming experience in one or more modern backend languages such as Typescript or Java. 

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, API-first development, domain-driven design, SOLID principles and clean architecture. 

• Hands-on experience with NoSQL/document databases, preferably MongoDB, including data modeling, query optimization, indexing and performance tuning. 

• Experience building event-driven architectures using technologies such as Azure Event Hubs, Event Grid, Service Bus, Kafka or similar messaging platforms. 

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure and modern deployment models using containers and Kubernetes, ideally AKS. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps. 

• Good understanding of logging, monitoring, observability and production support using tools such as Application Insights or equivalent. 

• Experience working in agile teams with strong engineering practices, including automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration and iterative delivery. 

• Fluent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams, and domains.

Desirable  

• MongoDB cluster administration or advanced MongoDB performance optimization. 

• AKS cluster administration or platform engineering practices. 

• SAP-based systems, enterprise integrations, or data migration. 

• Master data, product data, pricing, customer data, or commerce-related domains. 

• Caching strategies, CQRS, read models, or other patterns for high-performance data access. 

• Azure certifications or hands-on experience with Azure platform management.

This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore, India
