TCGplayer connects hobbyists and hobby businesses to communities. The Data Warehouse team is responsible for ensuring that TCGplayer’s data warehouse has accurate and timely information to support the reporting and analytics needs of the business. Our team prides itself on a culture that fosters camaraderie, embraces diversity, and exudes passion!  As a member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in TCGplayer’s data strategy by combining your technical experience in the Data Warehousing space with the ability to take the lead on projects and provide valuable input toward organizational direction.
What you will accomplish:

• Gather and synthesize business requirements to define data needs in support of reporting and analytics and work with other members of the Data Warehouse team to ensure that such data can be made appropriately available

• Turn granular data into actionable insights and metrics to give the organization the ability to communicate detailed data stories clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Conduct thorough discovery to identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the data is accurate, complete, accessible for business needs, and properly secured

• Provide support for application development teams including documenting business processes

• Build and maintain high-quality data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for organization-wide use, including executive management and all business departments, primarily leveraging Tableau

• Produce accurate and efficient queries, primarily SQL, to provide ad-hoc analytical information

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience

• 6 years or more experience in a professional data analysis capacity

• Significant experience with writing complex queries to analyze data in a variety of data sources including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.

• Significant experience with data visualization tools; Tableau strongly preferred

• Experience with implementing and supporting data governance within medium-to-large organizations

• Strong ability to utilize written and verbal communication skills to influence through collaboration across functional roles and levels across the organization
