Minimum Qualifications:
Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's +6 yrs experience).
Typically, 8+ years of related experience.
Expertise in one to multiple programming languages and advanced understanding of software development principles.
Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to mentor and guide other engineers
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with the Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards.
Advanced expertise in requirements management and system modeling tools, such as No Magic Cameo.
Proven experience in software architecture, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and software design.
Strong understanding and practical application of software design patterns.
Experience in creating detailed software interface control documents and algorithm description documents.
Proficiency in developing and managing requirements using advanced modeling techniques.
In-depth knowledge of industry-standard design principles, including but not limited to requirements management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Certification or practical experience with International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards.
Solid background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Familiarity with defining and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) to ensure project success.
Demonstrated experience in defining and developing test cases based on architectural documentation and system requirements.

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
$73.48 - $101.00 per hour

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
