Job Description:
Aruba is an HPE Company, and a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. Our high-performance controller platforms are a key part of the solution. We are looking for a motivated, talented software engineer for the packet forwarding team to help develop and deliver the next generation solutions. The packet forwarding team is responsible for all forwarding features including stateful firewall, deep packet inspection, L4-L7 services, URL filtering, SDN, SDWAN, highly scalable cloud-based software applications that constitute the management plane and control plane for various controller networking functions.
** Location is SAN JOSE this role is HYBRID in the office 2 days per week.
Requirements
- Must have Strong C, nice to have Python programming skills.
- Must have strong knowledge of Networking protocols, Firewall, TCP/IP, and applications ARP, DHCP, FTP etc.
- Must have Strong knowledge of switching and routing protocols
- Strong background in computer science/software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms.
- Demonstrated abilities in designing robust and scalable applications in embedded and cloud
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environment
- Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams.
- Demonstrated abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalation
- Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
What you need to bring:
- Expected industry experience is 6-10 years.
- Minimum education at BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields.
