About the Team

The field of machine learning and gen ai has been fuelled by recent technological advances allowing software products to become context aware and adapted to the needs of individual users. Workday is investing in building products that leverage these technologies because of a strong continued focus on providing a top-class user experience for its customers.
Due to this investment, we are recruiting a Full-stack Developer to join the AI & Guidance team in Dublin. Our team is building the AI agent platform for Workday products, enabling teams across Workday to bring better AI agents and tools to market faster and in a more scalable way.

About the Role

This is a Full-stack Software Engineer role within the AI & Guidance team in Workday. Our mission is to help our 55+ million users become even more productive in Workday. We are achieving this by building new AI features and platforms to enable our users to successfully achieve their goals.

We’re looking for someone who is excited about building industry leading applications that will be used by millions of users daily and passionate about the user experience. The successful candidate is also a team player who understands and promotes industry best practices, and who excels at finding interesting and innovative ways to build and test front and backend code.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a motivated, multi-disciplinary scrum team working on the cutting edge of AI at Workday.

• Demonstrate technical awareness, vision and influencing skills in your interactions with the people outside your immediate team/org

• Work across the front-end (React) and back-end (Python)

• And finally: Have fun engineering software!

About You

You love working in high-performing teams to achieve ambitious, shared goals such as building Workday’s first in house AI agent, designing and building Workday’s AI agent platform or applying AI in new ways to help our customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-5 years proven experience developing software in a commercial environment.

• 2+ years experience in developing web applications in React.

• 3+ years demonstrated ability in developing web applications in HTML5/CSS/JS using frameworks/libraries.

• 1+ years’ experience in developing web applications in Python using web frameworks/libraries eg Flask/FastAPI

• Experience of working in an agile, fast paced continuous delivery environment.

Other Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably Computer Science/Engineering

• Experience working with ML and a curiosity about venturing into the backend service when needed to take on end-to-end problems would be an advantage.

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
