Senior Software Engineering Supervisor – Next Generation Avionics, Anthem FMS

This role leads a software and systems engineering team responsible for developing, integrating, and certifying Anthem Flight Management System solutions for next-generation avionics programs. The person in this role will guide teams through the full product lifecycle, from early planning and development to integration, certification, customer delivery, and ongoing support.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
  • Lead a large team of software engineers working on Anthem FMS for next-generation avionics programs.
  • Own program execution, integration, and certification deliverables for Anthem FMS.
  • Ensure teams meet commitments for schedule, cost, quality, and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with business leaders, program managers, global engineering teams, and other stakeholders to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Drive planning, execution, milestone tracking, risk management, and dependency management across teams.
  • Support product development using agile methods, continuous integration, testing, and certification practices.
  • Improve team capability, employee engagement, innovation, and future readiness.
  • Promote strong execution discipline, continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and reduced rework.
  • Encourage innovation by connecting engineering ideas with technology and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with global leaders to support the strategic goals of the Next Generation Avionics Center of Excellence.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • 9+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, including experience leading large engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, preferably Flight Management Systems or Display applications.
  • Experience with aerospace software and systems development processes, including ARP4754A and DO-178C.
  • Experience leading agile teams and managing programs against milestones, cost, and quality targets.
  • Knowledge of Anthem development processes, integration practices, testing, and certification activities.
  • Ability to lead technical teams and guide architecture, design, development, and integration work.
  • Good understanding of ARINC 661-based development, avionics user interfaces, and certification needs.
  • Familiarity with AI and Agentic AI concepts is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain vision, priorities, risks, and expectations clearly.
