We’re looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with deep experience building and scaling SaaS platforms in distributed cloud. This role requires a hands-on development experience with strong technical knowledge of networking fundamentals, microservice architecture, and deliver complex, distributed systems while working with team members and driving cross-functional alignment.
You’ll be responsible for design and development of scalable microservices, defining engineering best practices, and helping shape the future of our SaaS platform Data Plane components. This is a highly influential role focused on delivering performant, secure, resilient and reliable solutions that aligns with business objectives.
What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain applications using Go and C++, with a focus on scalability and high availability in distributed cloud environments.
Drive design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with product strategy.
Implement and enhance unit test infrastructure to progressively increase test coverage, ensuring high-quality software that handles boundary and edge-case scenarios
Develop scalable, enterprise-grade data-plane components and APIs.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
Take ownership of software components, delivering complete solutions that meet functional, scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
Shape cross-team technical direction and ensure alignment with best practices in scalability, security, and observability
What You Bring
Proficiency in C++ and Golang, with a strong track record of contributing to complex software development projects.
Proven hands-on experience in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab, CI/CD)
Strong understanding of OSI layer networking stack, NAT, DHCP, DNS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6
Good memory and CPU profiling understanding and drives independently optimisation or refactoring the existing code
Good Linux system concepts like file management, namespace, process management and memory management.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills with a track record of owning mission-critical systems
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and influencing technical direction
Qualifications
7+ years of L3/L4/L7 networking, data-path packet processing software engineering experience in cloud-native environments
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
