Aretum is seeking a Sr. Security Controls Assessor who is interested in becoming part of a growing team.

· Independently perform all aspects of the security controls assessment from kickoff to submission of all assessment deliverables including security assessment plan, security assessment report, and out brief slides.

· Coordinate all aspects of testing with relevant stakeholders and team lead.

· Develop a security assessment plan with input from stakeholders.

· Develop and tailor evidence request lists.

· Conduct and lead assessment interviews and tests and manage evidence.

· Coordinate with team lead and client management to develop and maintain a project plan.

· Ensure all required deliverables are completed according to schedule and at a high quality with the understanding that deliverables will undergo independent review by the client.

· Provide insightful recommendations to client to improve security posture.

Required Skills:

· Proficient understanding of the NIST RMF process and the NIST security control set (including technical controls).

· Minimum of (4) years leading assessments and serving as the primary assessor on general support systems.

· Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.

· Able to appropriately articulate security concepts and requirements to different audiences.

· Strong task management skills.

· Strong working knowledge of Excel to effectively manage and manipulate large spreadsheets.

· Clearance: Must currently hold or have the able to obtain (Medium Risk) Public Trust.

· US Citizen (Preferred) or Green Card Holder

Education:

· BS degree (Highly Preferred) or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Skills:

· Experience performing assessments at the USDA using Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM).

· Highly Preferred: CISSP, CISA, or equivalent security certification
