Sr SDET I

We are looking for a Sr SDET 1 to improve the quality, reliability, and release confidence of products. You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other quality engineers to design test strategies, build maintainable automation, and make quality part of the development lifecycle. A key part of the role is validating features before they reach the QA environment, providing fast feedback while changes are still in the development process.
The role has a strong hands-on focus on browser automation using C#, Selenium WebDriver, and NUnit. You will contribute to our existing end-to-end test framework and CI pipelines and help ensure that critical workflows across the applications are covered by fast, trustworthy, and diagnosable tests.
 

Requirements:

•    3–5 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation.
•    Hands-on experience building browser automation with Selenium WebDriver and a test framework such as NUnit.
•    Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, automation testing, databases, networking, web services and UI applications
•    Strong knowledge of CI/CD and build pipelines
•    Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar issue tracking tools
•    Experience testing Angular/React applications.
•    Experience with NUnit parallel execution, test sharding, and managing shared or environment-specific test data.
•    Experience testing REST or GraphQL APIs alongside browser-based workflows.
•    Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and quality teams.
•    Degree in computer science, information systems, or similar technical education preferred

Principal Accountabilities:
•    Plan and perform pre-merge verification of feature changes before they are promoted to the QA environment, helping teams catch regressions early.
•    Build and extend automated tests in C# using Selenium WebDriver and NUnit, following the framework's page-object and component-part patterns.
•    Keep tests focused on one logical behavior, with clear setup, assertions, reporting, and cleanup.
•    Use API clients for efficient test-data setup and cleanup where appropriate, while validating user-visible behavior through the UI.
•    Make test runs safe to execute in parallel through isolated data, appropriate user and environment selection, and tracked resource cleanup.
•    Identify coverage gaps, maintain test inventories or coverage documentation, and recommend the right level of testing for new and changed features.
•    Review test code and pipeline changes, coach teammates, and promote pragmatic quality engineering practices across the team.
•    Diagnose failures using test output, screenshots, browser logs, and CI artifacts; distinguish product defects from test, data, and environment issues.
•    Partner with frontend and platform engineers to improve testability, including advocating for stable automation hooks when needed.

•    Strong knowledge of C# or other object-oriented languages
•    Strong knowledge or software architecture including SOLID, design patterns and design principles
•    Knowledge of system architecture (such as microservices, containers, multi process applications and APIs
•    Practical use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering activities, such as test design, code assistance, debugging, or summarizing test results, with the judgment to review and validate AI-generated output.
•    Familiarity with mobile application testing or mobile automation frameworks is a plus.
•    Experience in insurance, property restoration, construction, or remodeling software.
