PetSafe Brands, formerly known as Radio Systems Corporation, is headquartered in Knoxville, TN. It has been named “The Marble City” and "Scruffy City", names we have embraced for our unique charm. We are the home of 1982 World’s Fair and we boast of 21 craft breweries around the city (click here for the Ale Trail). If you like to hike or camp, visit the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Take your pick of outdoor activities from walking, tubing, running, or biking in our Urban Wilderness. Knox County has an amazing public-school system, no state income tax, low property taxes and cost of living. We host Music and Shakespeare on the Square as well as Family Movie Nights on the Square during the summer months in downtown Knoxville.

Our Company: PetSafe Brands is the world leader in pet products through our family of brands:Pet Safe® Brand, Sport DOG® Brand, Invisible Fence® Brand, Kurgo and Premier Pet. Pet Safe® Brand makes every product from leashes and harnesses to water fountains and and litter boxes. We have an ambitious goal of touching over 21 million pets, people, and communities around the world each year. We serve a broad range of pet owners from providing the hunter the best gear for a successful hunt to accommodating the “Not-So-Crazy Cat Lady” with all the entertaining toys and effective solutions she could ever imagine. We do this by creating a culture of enthusiasm, resilience, adaptability, and teamwork every day in the office. We work hard to be our community’s employer of choice as we all live our purpose: We exist to unleash freedom for pet parents by keeping their pets happy, healthy and safe.

Key Responsibilities

Team Delivery & Execution

· Lead and facilitate all core Scrum events (Planning, Daily Scrum, Review/Demo, Retro) with strong outcomes, timeboxing, and follow-through.

· Partner with Product Owners and team leads to ensure backlog health (definition of ready, refinement cadence, acceptance criteria), clear sprint goals, and effective release planning.

· Drive delivery predictability through capacity planning, estimation practices, dependency management, and risk/issue management.

· Identify and remove impediments at both team and organizational levels; proactively escalate and resolve cross-team blockers.

Coaching & Agile Maturity

· Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum, Agile principles, and modern delivery practices (flow, WIP limits, slicing, incremental delivery).

· Support implementation of a quarterly planning cadence, aligning goals, roadmap, capacity, and dependencies, and translating quarterly priorities into executable team plans and backlogs.

· Establish and reinforce working agreements, definitions of ready/done, and healthy team norms.

· Mentor other Scrum Masters and contribute to an Agile community of practice; standardize best practices where helpful without over-prescribing.

Stakeholder & Cross-Team Leadership

· Facilitate alignment across Engineering, Product, Design, QA, and business partners; manage expectations around scope, timelines, and tradeoffs.

· Actively manage cross-team dependencies, including coordinating with other Scrum Masters/TPMs/PMs and enabling integrated delivery.

· Facilitate effective decision-making and conflict resolution; address unhealthy dynamics quickly and constructively.

Metrics, Tooling & Continuous Improvement

· Use Agile metrics to improve outcomes (e.g., throughput, cycle time, lead time, predictability, burndown/burnup, defect trends) and to drive actionable improvements—not “vanity reporting.”

· Ensure effective use of Agile tooling (Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps) including dashboards, workflows, hygiene, and transparent status.

· Lead retrospectives that produce measurable improvements; track actions to completion and validate impact.

Required Qualifications

· 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master supporting software (and/or firmware/hardware) product delivery teams; experience leading multiple teams is a plus.

· Demonstrated success improving delivery outcomes: predictability, flow, quality, stakeholder alignment, and team health.

· Strong facilitation skills with senior stakeholders; able to influence without authority and navigate ambiguity.

· Deep working knowledge of Scrum and practical application of Agile/Lean delivery practices.

· Hands-on experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps (boards, queries, dashboards, workflows, reporting).

Certifications (Required)

· One of the following Scrum Master certifications:

o CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or A-CSM / CSP-SM (Scrum Alliance), or

o PSM I (Professional Scrum Master I) with a strong preference for PSM II/III (Scrum.org)

Preferred Qualifications

· Advanced/adjacent certifications such as:

o PSM II/III, CSP-SM, A-CSM

o PSPO I/II (Product Owner), KMP (Kanban), ICAgile (ICP-ACC/ICP-ATF), or SAFe (SSM/SASM)

· Experience in scaled or multi-team delivery environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or custom scaling patterns).

· Experience partnering with QA and driving quality practices (test automation adoption, definition of done, defect prevention).

· Strong understanding of DevOps/CI-CD, release management, and production support operating models.

· Experience with distributed teams, vendors/partners, or matrixed organizations.

Key Skills / Competencies

· Servant leadership + strong accountability (“high support / high standards”)

· Expert facilitation and workshop design

· Systems thinking; ability to spot and address systemic bottlenecks

· Conflict resolution, coaching, and organizational influence

· Data-informed improvement using delivery and quality metrics

· Clear communication, crisp status, and disciplined follow-through
