What You Will Achieve
As a member of the Pfizer team, your role will be accountable for activities involved in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. Such design and development may include new or revised processes. Your work will help develop procedures for the economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You and your team will conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and service, troubleshoot and solve production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
As a senior professional, your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our products, processes and services. You will guide us to lead projects by meeting objectives and preparing forecasts for resource requirements. Your risk-taking ability will help us advance new concepts and methodologies. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to team members that helps in problem solving, coach them in fulfilling their day-to-day responsibilities and also manage their overall development by arranging training and development programs.

How You Will Achieve It
- Manage multiple projects/ongoing work activities of moderate complexity within the department typically involving cross-functional representatives .
- Supervise the activities of the Upstream / Downstream Tech Services team, (Staff FTE and Contractors as assigned by the Tech Services Lead) .
- Lead process tech transfer in line with site and company guidance .
- Develop and maintain a work-plan to highlight ongoing activities, future milestones and current and future resource requirements , including production timings to support build of operational schedule.
- Conduct and/or assist in the risk analysis with internal and external sites and providing active support during investigations.
- Hire, develop and maintain the technical skill set capability in the team to enable future process tech transfers and multi-product operations.
- Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating and overseeing their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers effective and efficient services.
- Ensure w ork flexibly with Technical Service Leadership Team to deliver key new product introductions and move resources and optimize work practices to ensure that all Technical Service objectives across the site are achieved.
- Complete facility fit assessments in support of process transfers and facility design.
- Develop and maintain mass balances and process flow diagrams (PFDs) for new processes.
- Assist in the development of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Sampling Plan for new processes.
- Support the introduction of new materials and review Supplier Change Notifications (SCN) as required .
- Conduct regular one-on-one mentoring/training sessions on operations, individual development plan (IDP) and performance reviews.
- M anage the performance of direct reports through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching.
- Support the development of talent and capabilities of your team members and seek out training & development assignments for individuals who are capable of advancing to other positions.
Qualifications
Applicant must have HS Diploma with eight years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with six years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience; OR a Master's degree with more than one year of experience
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must not be allergic to penicillin.
Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the day as needed to support project schedules.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work off shift, evenings or weekends as needed to support project schedules.
Limited travel may be required annually.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
