SUMMARY 

The Senior SAP System Administrator role is central in strategizing, maintaining, and optimizing various HexArmor business systems including: SAP Business One (B1) ERP and other third-party add-ons such as LISA Warehouse Management System, Blue Ridge MRP System, EDI trading, ecommerce, and portal interactions with SAP.

This role will have an opportunity to lead collaboration with various business teams to optimize business processes that are both external and internal to the software-based systems.  The role will direct our overall business systems process improvements, including SAP B1 system support, business rules configuration, workflow, queries, reports, and third-party add-on implementation and maintenance. 

We are looking for a self-starter who has an overwhelming drive to embrace challenges, learn and understand new software, and start or expand their knowledge about business operations and processes. Grand Rapids, MI (Headquarters) - 640 Leffingwell Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Monitor, analyze, and continuously improve processes in SAP B1 to optimize system performance
  • Understand SAP B1 features and functions, train and onboard employees
  • Develop and maintain documentation on workflow and standard processes, updating them regularly to reflect improvements and best practices
  • Monitor SAP Support and administrative issues
  • Work with and support the Business Intelligence staff to support standardization efforts and ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems
  • Support cross system integration, such as SAP to Salesforce.com, Tableau and EDI interfaces
  • Evaluate and enhance of database structure and data blending to support outputs to integrated systems
  • Support SAP B1 by developing and managing queries, writing reports, maintaining configuration changes and Third-Party Add-On software, and evaluating and implementing business rules and workflow process improvements
  • Install SAP systems and related software (e.g., database), including upgrades ensuring timely application of patches and enhancements
  • Recommend and investigate add-on solutions to improve efficiencies or processes

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2-4 years SAP B1 or ERP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Ability to understand workflow processes and systems
  • High-level analytical skills
  • Ability to creatively problem solve system related issues while understanding how they impact the larger system structure
  • SQL query writing familiarity
  • Master Data and Bill of Material management experience
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports or similar report building applications
  • Sound communication and facilitation skills to lead projects and positively influence collaborators
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams including Sales, Software and Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Account Management
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and after hours when necessary (i.e. call-ins, emergencies, etc.)
  • Hardworking and eager to learn
