Job Description:
Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the Sr Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for providing analytical sales support for the Noth American organization by enabling the key processes within Sales and Marketing. This role will primarily support the North American Sales Team with 1) day-to-day management of Commercial Programs (Rebates and Marketing) and 2) reporting and analysis of selling activities and outcomes.
Primary Duties
- Analysis of existing commercial programs for senior management.
- Management/ownership of underlying data required to execute programs
- Reporting of performance of the programs to Commercial leadership
- Support and develop implementation of tools (i.e., PowerBI, excel) for use by the Sales team to understand and simulate program performance
- Forecasting programs’ financial impact on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Support design and analysis of future programs and program changes as required
- Routine audits of data to ensure accuracy of reporting and payments
- Interface with Sales, IT, Sales Operations, and Finance, as needed, to execute the programs effectively
- Administration of program payments, reporting, and communication activities
- Working with large data sets to provide data analytics and problem solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related function.
- 5+ years of relevant business experience, preferably in Sales Support, Finance, IT, or Data Management role(s)
- Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Effectively learn and understand ESAB’s systems and data flows.
- Ability to be a self-starter showing initiative and proactively identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Advanced database skills including writing queries and reports in either MS Access, SQL, and/or PowerBI.
- Demonstrated ability to research, understand, and communicate issues with data, reporting, and system outputs.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt/manage change in shifting organizational priorities and strategies.
- Openness to new ideas and solutions; intensely focus on problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ability to communicate quantitative information to all levels within the organization, specifically those unfamiliar with data and system intricacies.
- Ability to build consensus among groups with differing opinions and preferences across business teams, countries, and functional areas.
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics and working with large data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – comfortable communicating over the phone and in person with sales team members and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization.
- Advanced planning and prioritization skills.
- Strong team player – builds working relationships with team members and associates at all levels within the organization.
- Solid background of financial reporting and Finance data.
- Experience working with CRMs such as MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce.com.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Experience with Master Data Management
- SAP experience
- Experience building or migrating ERPs systems and their data structure
- Advanced Excel Skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications
Working Conditions
- Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment ‘PPE’ when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printers, tablets, cell phones.
- May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
