We’re looking for a Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team at Black Duck in Japan. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you’ll be the spark that ignites new opportunities — connecting with future customers, building relationships, and helping shape our pipeline.
You’ll work closely with Marketing and Sales, turning curiosity into conversations — and conversations into meaningful opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive new business conversations by connecting with prospective customers across multiple channels
- Qualify inbound leads and turn marketing interest into real opportunities
- Lead proactive outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) to open doors and build relationships
- Dive deep into target accounts to understand what matters most to them
- Spot opportunities early and help convert them into strong sales pipeline
- Partner closely with Account Executives to set them up for success
- Keep momentum high by tracking activity and insights in Salesforce
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of professional experience (sales experience is a plus — but drive matters more)
- A natural communicator who enjoys connecting with people
- A self-starter mindset — you don’t wait, you make things happen
- Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment
- Curiosity, resilience, and a genuine desire to improve every day
- Ability to think on your feet and create engaging, meaningful conversations

Compensation
We believe great work should be recognized and rewarded.
This role offers a competitive package and includes Base salary and Performance-based incentive. Together, these form an On-Target Earnings (OTE) plan — giving you the opportunity to directly influence your earnings through your impact.
