SUMMARY
This position provides in-depth analytical and market research to the North American sales organization in order to assess past performance and improve current and future business decisions. This position plays a crucial role in driving business growth by analyzing sales data, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to optimize sales performance. This position will be an integral role as the lead analyst for North American Pipe and Fittings sales team by providing the unique opportunity to help drive direction and decision making in hopes of growing sales and profitability within the Region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Work united with the Director of Sales in identifying opportunities to exceed the annual sales budget
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports on sales performance metrics, including revenue, profitability and market share
- Prepare dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders
Sales Forecasting and Planning
- Develop sales forecasts and contribute to financial planning
- Assist in setting sales targets and goals based on data driven insights
- Monitor progress against sales objectives and provide recommendations for adjustments
Strategic Insights and Recommendations
- Conduct market analysis to identify competitive trends and customer needs
- Collaborate with sales leadership to design strategies that drive revenue growth
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize sales processes and enhance customer acquisition
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in the sales pipeline and suggest improvements
- Develop and maintain tools or models to streamline sales operations
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with sales team, marketing and finance departments to align on goals and strategies
- Present findings and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Produce analysis and provide sound reasoning and explanation to the Director of Sales on Sales Initiatives and market evaluations
- Provide training and answer any queries from North American Sales team on SAP/COPA Webi reports
- Report and maintain Quarterly Incentive Plan (QIP) and Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) for North American Sales team
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field
- Master’s Degree (MBA or related) is a plus
- 5-8 years’ experience in sales analysis, data analytics or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with CRM software is preferred
- Understanding of financial metrics and sales KPIs
- Demonstrate advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills (SAP/COPA Webi Reports)
- Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
- Articulates analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Exhibit the ability, over time, to distill data into meaningful insights and suggestions to improve sales
- Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers
- Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau or Power BI
- Proficient us of MS Office applications including Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint
