About the role
We have a defined need for a senior developer with a focus in scripting capabilities and troubleshooting. We are looking for qualified candidates who enjoy interacting with clients to be practitioners on our electronic trading systems. You will be working with tier 1 banks in a very dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Build full stack solutions and enhancements to the existing pipeline.
- Build new Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) for integrating with existing internally built workflow tools
- Creating reusable code for adding new client-specific customizations.
- Improve regression testing tools using the Firm’s proprietary technology.
- Work with regional teams to deliver enhancements to global on boarding processes.
- Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technology is required pre-hire.
General Experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- At least 6+ years of experience using Java, Python or equivalent OOPS language in the Linux environment.
- The end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), including designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale technologies.
- Comfort with standard SDLC tools, e.g. version control systems (Git, CVS, SVN), build tools(Jenkins) or similar technologies.
- Clear understanding and distinction of how relational databases (such as SQL, Sybase or DB2 ) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) work.
- UI development, AngularJS or React development experience is a plus
