ABOUT THE POSITION

The Sales team is looking for a Sr. Regional Sales Representative to join their team based out of our showroom in Montreal, Quebec for a 6-month contract. This territory includes south shore, Eastern Townships.

This role is responsible for selling company products through resellers in assigned territory. They manage all sales functions for assigned territories to ensure the business grows according to sales projections. This includes account financial planning, assortment planning, developing and implementing sales plans, coordinating special product showings, and working closely with customer service to resolve order issues.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Manage all aspects of the assigned territory by developing and implementing sales strategies that promote the sale and sell through of Columbia product.

  • Work closely with retailers to establish appropriate sales goals based on sales history analysis and projected sales trends.

  • Meet regularly with Columbia sales management to review sales data and account management.

  • Work closely with Columbia departments to coordinate product presentations and provide information on technical aspects of product including design and materials.

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external contacts.

  • Prospect new business and develop customized growth opportunities for existing accounts.

  • Provide accurate and reliable forecasts on or before all internal deadlines.

YOU ARE
  • Bilingual in French and English

  • Able to portray a compete-to-win attitude. Always striving for pursuit of relentless improvement and development.

  • Exhibiting strong presentation skills in formal presentation settings within and outside of the company.

  • Able to understand and incorporate all levels of brand marketing plans and concepts into presentation.

  • Maintaining positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

YOU HAVE
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

  • 5-8 years of sales experience

  • Strong technical proficiency on all sales tools

  • Broad knowledge of the outdoor and sportswear industry, territory, sales principles, practices, procedures, and product innovations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with proprietary, private, and confidential information

  • The ability to travel including frequent overnight travel

  • Flexibility with your schedule including evening meetings and occasional weekend work

  • The ability to work both on-site at our showroom in Montreal, Quebec, as well as remotely

L’équipe des ventes recherche un Représentant des ventes régional principal pour rejoindre son équipe basée à notre salle de montre de Montréal pour un contrat de 6 mois. Ce territoire comprend la Rive-Sud et les Cantons de l’est.

Le rôle de cette personne est de vendre les produits de la compagnie via des revendeurs dans le territoire attribué. Elle gère toutes les fonctions ventes sur le territoire attribué afin d’assurer la croissance de l’entreprise selon les projections des ventes. Ceci inclut la planification financière des comptes clients, la planification de l’assortiment, le développement et la mise en œuvre de plans des ventes, la coordination de démonstrations spéciales de produits et la collaboration étroite avec le service à la clientèle pour résoudre des problèmes de commande.

  • Bilingue en français et en anglais

  • Capable de comprendre et d’incorporer tous les niveaux de concepts et de plans de marketing de marque dans les présentations.

  • Habile à maintenir ouvertes des voies de communication positives avec tous les membres de la direction, du personnel et tous les autres départements chez Columbia Sportswear afin de favoriser une bonne circulation d’informations et contribuer à l’opération efficace de l’organisation. 

VOUS AVEZ
  • Une éducation post-secondaire ou une expérience équivalente

  • 5 à 8 années d’expérience de ventes

  • Une bonne maîtrise de tous les outils de vente

  • Une vaste connaissance de l’industrie du plein air et des vêtements de sport, du territoire, des principes, des pratiques et des procédures des ventes

  • D’excellentes habiletés de communication écrite et orale

  • De l’expérience de travail avec des informations brevetées, privées et confidentielles

  • La capacité de voyager, y compris des voyages avec nuitées fréquentes

  • De la souplesse dans votre horaire incluant des réunions le soir et du travail la fin de semaine à l’occasion
