The Sr Recruiting Specialist will excel as both peer coaches and is a key contributor to recruitment success with a focus on Experienced Advisor Recruiting; however, not losing sight of the Thrivent ecosystem: Career Advisors, Virtual Advisors and Practice Growth roles. This role will be responsible for managing, executing, coordinating and optimizing consistent, high-quality recruiting experience for experienced financial advisor candidates from initial engagement through affiliation. Key focuses will include achieving operational excellence, delivering consistent candidate selection processes, managing and contributing to the recruitment pipeline, ensuring reporting accuracy, and overseeing relationship management. The ideal candidate should demonstrate collaborative leadership, build meaningful relationships, and maximize talent acquisition in a competitive setting.
This can be a remote position within the US.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Coaching & Stakeholder Collaboration:  

  • Ensure the candidate pipeline and recruiting process meet the needs of the Experienced Advisor Recruiting team. 

  • Champion collaboration with the Experienced Advisor Recruiting team and the Career team, as needed.   

  • Analyze key recruitment metrics to identify trends, optimize talent acquisition strategies, and deliver solutions that enhance recruitment effectiveness and consistent alignment to the Recruiting Playbook and Experienced Advisor Recruiting process. 

  • Partner with Beamery relationship managers to address improvement and escalation issues. 

 

Strategic Selection Process & Talent Acquisition: 

  • Manage a high-quality, diverse candidate pipeline, ensuring a seamless selection process aligned with Thrivent’s Experienced Advisor Recruiting team and the greater ecosystem and a top-notch candidate experience. 

  • Execute operational logistics for background checks, job transfers, and system escalations while championing a seamless hiring process. 

  • Process the logistics of Workday Recruiting to initiate hires and job transfers in Workday, and partner with corporate Workday team for escalated issues. 

  • Trouble-shoot and adapt to the regulatory and industry trends to deliver recruiting goals. 

  • Model Thrivent’s leadership competencies – Model the Way, Rally the Team, and Deliver Outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

 Required:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of Experienced Advisor recruiting experience. 

  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels. 

  • Proven success in leading national recruitment efforts and talent acquisition strategies, implementing streamlined hiring practices that drive efficiency and quality. 

  • Strong problem solver & strategist with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments while maintaining precision and agility. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies. 

  • Advanced organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects and adapting to evolving business needs. 

  • Ability to navigate employment laws, uphold confidentiality with sensitive information, and foster trust across diverse stakeholders. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; expertise in recruitment technologies and applicant tracking technologies (e.g., Beamery, Workday, and background check platforms.) 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, foster team accountability, and contribute to cross-functional success. 

 

Preferred:   

  • Deep understanding of Thrivent’s Ecosystem and COE organizational structure. 

  • Experience in change management, with the ability to implement and adapt to evolving recruitment processes and technologies. 

  • A track record of innovation and process improvement—introducing new approaches to optimize efficiency and elevate recruitment outcomes. 

  • Certifications in HR, talent management, or recruitment strategy.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $81,537.00 - $110,315.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
