Key role responsibilities
- Drive the development and application of cutting-edge CFD techniques to optimize thermal management, and fluid flow performance of cooling systems (air/liquid/refrigerant) and create 3D simulation models.
- Create and validate high-fidelity digital twins of enclosures and systems, enabling virtual prototyping and accelerated product development.
- Collaborate with design, experimental, and product development teams to translate simulation insights into tangible improvements in physical products.
- Architect and implement a robust digital ecosystem, including design tools, engineering calculators, digital twins, and monitoring systems for real-time performance oversight.
- Leverage your expertise to resolve complex technical issues related to enclosure quality, manufacturing, and performance.
- Investigate and implement emerging technologies and simulation methods to maintain nVent's competitive edge.
- Ideate on experimental testing scenarios, Conduct DOE to validate the analysis by working with thermal engineers & test technicians.
- Stay at the forefront of the field by actively engaging with the technical community through publications, presentations, and industry collaboration.
qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from reputed institute with Heat Transfer/Fluid Mechanics as specialization from reputed institutes with strong understanding of heat transfer, and fluid dynamics principles.
- 4+ years of working experience with CFD tools such ANSYS (FLUENT, CFX, Spcaeclaim) demonstrating expertise in thermal, and fluid flow analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in simulating complex airflow and heat transfer problems, including steady-state and transient modeling, phase change simulations, refrigerant leakage modeling, and multi-variable fan optimization.
- Proven Experience of establishing correlation between CFD results and actual testing and improvising modelling strategies for better accuracy.
- Candidate with additional Knowledge of using FEA tools Such as Ansys Mechanical, Hypermesh, Nastran is a plus
- Adept at parallel computations, parametric modeling, and design optimization, CFD automation script writing techniques to maximize efficiency and performance.
- Should be able to recommend design modifications to achieve target performance for airflow & heat transfer.
- Experience in utilizing SolidWorks or similar CAD software for modeling HVAC and refrigeration components and systems is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
