Job Description

In this role as an Electrical Engineer, you will lead RF and wireless system design across the full product lifecycle—from early architecture and advanced development through validation, deployment, and field support. You will focus on enabling reliable, secure wireless data transmission for patient monitoring systems, including development of robust, low-power communication solutions.

Your Role

  • Lead the design and integration of RF and wireless communication systems, with expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi (802.11), and custom wireless protocols, including antenna selection, matching, and optimization.
  • Design and implement low-power embedded wireless sensor networks, including experience developing or working with custom packet structures and communication protocols for efficient data transmission.
  • Drive RF system architecture, including link budget analysis, interference mitigation, and coexistence strategies in complex environments.
  • Own schematic capture and guide RF-aware mixed-signal PCB layout, ensuring controlled impedance, signal integrity, grounding strategies, and strong antenna performance in collaboration with PCB vendors.
  • EMI/EMC design, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and robust product performance.
  • Translate system requirements into detailed hardware specifications, while collaborating with firmware and systems teams.
  • Support field troubleshooting and performance optimization of wireless systems, including debugging connectivity, packet loss, and interference-related issues.

You’re the Right Fit If

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience (3+ with a Master’s), with strong emphasis on RF/wireless systems or embedded communications
  • Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries is preferred
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
