Job Summary & Scope

The Senior Quality Software Engineer builds the framework for automation of QA services to ensure delivery meets service level metrics and influences the development practices throughout the lifecycle.  Supports and may lead initiatives including multiple features and applications involving highly integrated design and architecture.  Demonstrates knowledge of solutions within multiple domain(s) product(s) or service(s). Plans, delivers and manages QE services.

Required:

• Has 5+ years of test engineering or QA experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Has 2+ years of experience in in implementing test engineering principles

• Practitioner of Agile and/or Lean practices

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Computer Science or

Computer Engineering

• Full SDLC and Agile development methodologies experience

Accountabilities

• Builds intelligent test automation frameworks that certifies releases faster with increased test coverage

• Builds and automates the appropriate level of test cases to determine if product is ready for production

• Conducts research to identify tools, automation frameworks and methodologies;   drives quality measures to be implemented

• Influences change in the development process to ensure quality is built into the product

• Reviews and approves deliverables from team

• Adopts fail fast methodology                                                                                                                  

• Oversees work of others to ensure quality

Problem Solving & Analysis

• Recommends solutions based on established best practices and own judgment

• Sees patterns and uses conceptual thinking to solves problems

Decision Making / Autonomy

• Makes proactive decisions that translate direction into specific actions

• Issues are escalated to Technology Management Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision

Communications / Interactions

• Communicates with Management and may communicate to Technology Leadership, on status issues and decisions to influence outcomes

• Leads meetings with partners to gain alignment and understanding

• Provides guidance to less experienced team members

• Creates and delivers presentations and communications to peers

All other duties as assigned.
