We are seeking an experienced Senior Plant Quality Manager to lead the Plant Quality department in our Piedras Negras manufacturing plant. This high-visibility role requires a strong technical leader with extensive experience and proven track record in Quality Management, Engineering or Process Engineering within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will focus on building and mentoring a high-performing Quality team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement to meet business and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor and inspire a strong Quality team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional growth.

Quality Strategy & Execution: Define and implement the plant’s Quality strategy, aligning with corporate objectives, managing budgets and ensuring operational excellence.

Process & Product Quality Management: Oversee validation, calibration and statistical control processes (SPC, DOE, APQP) to ensure stable, high-quality production.

Customer & Compliance Management: Serve as the primary Quality representative in customer interactions, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.

Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving: Lead initiatives to enhance product and process quality, proactively addressing root causes and implementing preventative measures.

Training & Capability Building: Identify skill gaps and develop training programs to strengthen the Quality team’s technical and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:

10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a background in Quality, Engineering or Process Engineering.

Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Project Management.

Proven leadership experience in developing teams and driving organizational results.

Strong soft skills, including Customer Support, Conflict Resolution and Proactive Decision-Making.

Excellent English communication skills.

Deep knowledge of automotive standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3.

Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage cross-functional collaborations.
