Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Apodaca.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations and supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System of the local unit.
  • Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements and validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks.
  • Representing the Voice of the Customer within local teams and challenging the teams with customer experience feedback and input to decisions.
  • Utilizing ABB Group aligned systems and tools to assist the Engineering function with Product data and analysis to validate that Products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle.
  • Utilizing the local Quality Management System to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities and lead the application of an operational approach and system of process management.
  • Performing audits and using Quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and nonconformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers and assisting in the application of appropriate corrective and preventive action 
     

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electrical automation or related)
  • 5+ Years experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Problem Solving tools (8Ds, RCA, 6S, A3)
  • Advanced English
  • Electrical background and electrical safety regulations knowledge (desirable)
