As part of the Quality organization, you will help ensure Vanderlande’s products and processes consistently meet customer expectations and the highest quality standards. You will work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive quality excellence, continuous improvement, and operational performance across the business.
Your PositionAs a Senior Quality Engineer, you will lead quality initiatives that improve product reliability, process capability, and overall customer satisfaction. You will analyze quality performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable corrective actions while supporting new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing operations.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Quality Engineer, you will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, processes, and procedures.
- Lead root cause investigations and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality metrics, customer feedback, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct process, product, and supplier quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing performance.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by integrating quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and testing procedures.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and customer quality concerns through timely investigation and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.
- Support risk assessments, failure analysis, and process improvement activities.
- Mentor and coach junior quality team members while promoting best practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within manufacturing, industrial automation, material handling, or a related industry.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA, root cause analysis, audits, supplier quality, and non-conformance management.
- Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical problem-solving techniques.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent certification is a plus.
