Our Defense team in Salt Lake City, UT, is eagerly looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will join the Quality Engineering team, reporting directly to our Missiles Site Quality Manager and be tasked with applying knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and procedures to provide direction and support related to defense products and contracts.
This is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M-Th, 7am-4pm, every other F 7am-3pm)
As a Sr. Quality Engineer, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:
Function as the Quality lead for assigned program(s).
Provide technical support to customers, suppliers and government agencies to guarantee compliance with contract requirements.
Lead the creation and evaluation of cost-effective inspection planning.
Lead the analysis of contractual requirements and creation of program plans, procedures, Quality Codes, etc.
Lead and monitor the progress of quality programs and initiatives.
Provide technical support in determining cause of chronic manufacturing/quality problems.
Support failure analysis, DOEs, SPC and other methods to improve processes.
Lead the review and evaluation of suspect material.
Participate in corrective action reviews and in leading effective root cause analysis.
Provide technical support for inspection personnel and other interfacing departments.
Support the implementation of group and department procedures and policies.
Continually strive to make production operations more effective, efficient, and defect-free.
To be considered for this Sr. Quality Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/analytical/scientific field or equivalent experience.
Six years minimum experience in a Quality related environment with 8+ years of experience desirable.
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 and AS9102.
Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma.
Possess a working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, test, and procurement processes.

Salary Range Transparency:
Salt Lake City, UT $95,000.00–$130,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
