We are looking for an experienced, high-energy senior engineer for our Quality Engineering team. You will use proven testing practices to foster excellence in our products. This includes usage and development of tools and frameworks necessary to support testing and release builds. You will apply your technical knowledge, leadership skills, software development methodologies, best test practices, and proven processes to consistently deliver great quality products in a predictable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform certifications of Five9 Virtual Call Center applications against new versions of browsers, operating systems, etc. working under Agile software development environment
  • Develop new scripts for automated and semi-automated front-end testing.
  • Provide technical leadership to design test plans, test cases and test scripts for Five9 applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
  • Promote Quality and Automation initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating process definition, best practices and efficient usage of infrastructure
  • Participate in Agile software development initiatives (stand-up, grooming session, sprint demo, increment planning)
  • Working within geographically distributed team of Dev, DB architects, PdM, RM, and QE

Required skills:

  • Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience as a QE/QA the SaaS industry, understanding of SW development process and testing methodologies, tools and processes
  • Knowledge of SW version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems
  • Experience in front-end testing of Web based applications
  • Experience with web-based automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Proven experience in building, maintaining, and supporting test solutions for enterprise SaaS applications
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills, logs analysis
  • Problem solving, analytical and positive attitude
  • Good technical English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal, reliable and communication skills

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms (OOP, multithreading, script languages such as Python/Java)
  • Experience in SW/scripts development using Python
  • Experience with API testing
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux
  • Practical experience with DBMS (MySQL desirable)
  • Experience in Test Automation projects for cloud computing solutions (private or public)
  • Experience with Call Center practices
