Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the scope, approach, resources, and schedule for testing activities.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and specifications.
- Execute various types of tests, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Use automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Record and document test results and analyse them to identify patterns and trends.
- Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication of issues.
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to reproduce and isolate reported defects.
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide feedback to the development team on areas for improvement in the software development life cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of quality objectives.
- Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide input on potential quality issues.
- Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, test cases, and procedures.
- Generate test summary reports for project stakeholders
Skills
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java) for test automation.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and test automation.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
