Genesis Consulting has an upcoming opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking senior level Quality Control and Assurance Manager & Testing Lead with a passion for growth and business transformation. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager and Testing Lead with Federal ERP Experience to join our team, working closely with a Federal Government Client. As the Senior QA/QC Manager and Testing Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes, as well as leading the testing efforts for ERP implementations within the federal government sector. This critical role requires a deep understanding of ERP technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with federal regulations and quality standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control strategies, policies, and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality ERP solutions that align with federal government requirements and industry best practices.
  • Plan for User Acceptance and System Integration Tests, Create Test Data, and Perform Test Executions
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of federal government regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements related to ERP implementations. Ensure that quality processes and deliverables adhere to these requirements.
  • Create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for ERP implementations, encompassing functional, integration, system, and performance testing. Define testing methodologies and approaches to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Lead testers and quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Coordinate testing activities, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely and accurate execution of test plans.
  • Oversee the execution of test cases, monitoring test progress, and identifying and managing defects. Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure the delivery of defect-free ERP solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and implement appropriate tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes, increase efficiency, and enhance test coverage. Leverage automation for regression testing and repetitive tasks.
  • Coordinate the setup and maintenance of test environments, ensuring they accurately mirror the production environment. Collaborate with infrastructure and system administration teams to address any environment-related issues.
  • Consistently provide high quality analysis of assigned work items, ensure deliverables are of the highest quality and completed on time, and motivate team by helping to create positive work environment.
  • Ensure that testing processes and deliverables comply with federal government regulations and quality standards, such as the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Prepare and present testing reports and metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Federal Government Client's business users, project managers, and stakeholders to understand their requirements, communicate testing progress, manage expectations, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Stay abreast of the latest ERP technologies, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience: 
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager or Testing Lead in ERP implementations, specifically within the Federal Government space at a Federal Customer, DOD or DHS experience is preferred.
  • Experience Testing in support of at least 3 full lifecycle implementations and/or major releases to include experience with automated test tool implementation and day-to-day execution.
  • Deep knowledge of ERP technologies, including travel and expense solutions
  • Strong understanding of federal government regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements related to ERP implementations, such as FISMA, SDLC, and testing frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53).
  • Proven experience in leading testing efforts, including test strategy development, test planning, test execution, defect management, and test automation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of testers and quality assurance professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and government officials.

Minimum Education: 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Required Certifications: 
  • SAFe, CSM certifications desired

  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must have Secret clearance or Ability to Obtain it
  • Willingness to be on-site and remote within the DC/MD/VA area


Skills Required
