Sr. QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform requirement analysis to understand the scope of testing, identify ambiguities, and contribute to the creation of testable requirements.
   
2. Develop comprehensive test plans, define testing scope, objectives, resources,schedules, and strategies aligned with project timelines and quality standards.
   
3. Provide accurate and realistic estimates for testing efforts, considering the complexity and scope of the features under test.
   
4. Design, develop & execute a detailed and well-structured test cases to cover all scenarios and edge cases based on requirements and design specifications.
   
5. Prepare the test data that is needed to perform the test. 
   
6. Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and retesting using tools like Zoho Sprint
   
7. Perform RCA to determine core reasons for defects and collaborate with developers to recommend strategic solutions to eliminate them.
   
8. Participate actively in release cycles by performing regression, sanity, and smoke testing to validate software readiness for production deployment.
   
9. Perform testing on DBMS to validate data integrity & database operations using SQL queries.
   
10. Perform API testing using various API testing tools such as Postman & Swagger to ensure seamless backend functionality.
    
11. Prepare and present test reports, status updates, and quality metrics to facilitate informed decision-making.
    
12. Explore and implement opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques to improve QA productivity and decision-making in day-to-day tasks.

2. Maintain a keen eye for detail to identify inconsistencies and risks in software development.

7. Foster a culture of quality by advocating best practices and educating teams on testing importance.
   

Nice to Have (Automation Exposure)

1. Hands-on experience in automation frameworks such as Playwright + Java + TestNG + Maven
   
2. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
   
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for integrating testing into continuous development cycles.
