Your role and responsibilities
In this role, we are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineering Lead to join our Industrial Automation Digital organization. You will lead the quality engineering strategy for next-generation Edge and Cloud-based industrial automation platforms, driving test automation, performance engineering, AI-assisted quality practices, and continuous quality improvement across the software development lifecycle.
Working closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, and global R&D teams, you will ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions while mentoring engineering teams and establishing quality engineering best practices.
Work model: Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for- Define and drive quality engineering strategy, test architecture, and automation frameworks for Edge and Cloud-based industrial automation products, ensuring release readiness, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead the design and execution of functional, integration, API, regression, performance, and non-functional testing while implementing AI-assisted testing and intelligent automation to improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish quality standards, optimize CI/CD pipelines, improve test environments, and provide actionable insights through quality metrics and performance analysis.
- Mentor quality engineers, promote engineering excellence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across software quality, automation, cybersecurity validation, and modern testing practices.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or a related technical discipline, with 12+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, and enterprise product validation.
- Strong expertise in UI, API, integration, regression, and performance testing using Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, or similar automation and performance testing frameworks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum, virtualization technologies, and modern application lifecycle management practices.
- Good understanding of Edge and Cloud architectures, networking fundamentals, industrial communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, OPC UA/DA), and Industrial Automation systems such as DCS, PLC, or SCADA.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), Specification-Driven Development, and intelligent quality engineering practices.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python, software engineering principles, cybersecurity concepts, and secure software validation practices.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, mentoring, and communication skills with the ability to lead global cross-functional quality engineering initiatives.

Skills Required

- Exposure to modern AI technologies and engineering tools including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI-assisted testing approaches
- Exposure to Specification-Driven Development (Spec-Driven Development) methodologies
- Working knowledge of Industrial Automation systems such as DCS, PLC, or SCADA
- Development experience in C#, Java, or Python with solid understanding of OOP concepts
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure communication
