The Role

As a Senior QA Analyst at CME Group, you will be a champion of quality for the world's leading derivatives marketplace. You will join our collaborative Technology team, applying your deep technical expertise to ensure the integrity, performance, and reliability of our critical trading and post-trade systems. This role is for a meticulous problem-solver who thrives on validating complex, high-throughput applications and is committed to embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineer and execute comprehensive test strategies for mission-critical, high-performance software applications

  • Demonstrate ownership mindset acting as a gatekeeper for determining feature readiness to be rolled out to users, coordinating UAT activities with users

  • Expertise on automated testing frameworks, willingness to write automated test scripts using basic Java/Python scripts

  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to champion quality throughout the entire development lifecycle

  • Uncover and diagnose complex defects within distributed systems, meticulously documenting issues and driving them to resolution

  • Validate system integrity and data accuracy by interrogating databases, analyzing message queues, and simulating real-world workflows

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience testing distributed Java applications within a Linux/Unix environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency with messaging middleware, such as Tibco RV and/or IBM MQ, for validating system communication

  • Expertise in crafting complex SQL queries for in-depth data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting

  • A solid foundation in programming or scripting principles, enabling you to understand application logic and contribute to test automation efforts

  • Familiarity with workload automation and job scheduling tools like UC4

  • An analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving in complex, data-intensive financial technology environments

The pay range for this role is $95,800-$159,600. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
