Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology, is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team.  A minimum Collateral Secret is required.  Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business.  

** This position is on site in Richardson, TX . ** 

What YOU will do:

• You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on the team in multiple technologies, including: 
  - Virtualization 
  - Servers 
  - Clients 
  - Networking 
  - Storage 
  - Backup

• You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team and/or leads cross-functional initiatives.   

• You will build strong relationships with customers and peers.   

• You will develop derived technical and security requirements. Ensures use cases, user profiles, workflow, and requirements are accurate and complete.   

• You will develop budgets for enterprise projects in the infrastructure and labor

• You will create solution matrices w/ cost & schedule based on the project requirements.  

• You will lead development and/or improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)   

• You will use your advected knowledge to facilitate resolution of new and existing complex solutions. 

• You will advise on the technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned. 

• You will be a key focal contact for a med/large infrastructure teams on the initiatives they are assigned. 

• You will provide SME support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams. 

• You will Support basic and complex Linux use cases. 

What YOU will learn:

• You will foster relationships with your DT peers across the domestic US. 

• You will learn and practice product ownership to maximize the value of what DT Program Work Environments provide in regard to sustainment efforts and enterprise projects.  

• You will learn how to stride with little instruction from leadership and to delegate to peers when appropriate.   

• You will learn how to provide ROI based on project performance.  

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Active Secret Clearance is needed day one.

• Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred: 
  - Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.)  
  - Linux Systems Administration  
  - Networking (important)  
  - Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53)

• Ability to obtain IAT Level III certification (ex. CISSP).  Active cert preferred. 

• Ability to obtain technical certifications in one or more of the following technologies (Virtualization, Networking, Windows Administration, or Linux) 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Technology certifications (Systems Administration, Cloud, etc.)  

• Security certifications (Sec+, CISSP, etc.)  

• Govt. Security Clearance (Collateral / Secret)

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
