Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today’s changing healthcare environment.

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

Works cross-functionally with a team consisting of upper-level product development engineers, marketing product managers, and manufacturing engineers in the manufacturing of surgical instruments and implant medical devices to interpret engineering drawings into surgical instruments and implants.  This role will also provide design for manufacturability support to engineering as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participates as an active member of the R&D Services Team:
• Confer with cross-function teams including Manufacturing Engineering, NPD Engineering and Specials Engineering to see projects through from design through completion.
• Uses CAM Software (MasterCam) to create all necessary programs for completion of required tasks and projects.
• Utilizes extensive knowledge of operational and manufacturing principles as well as advanced and efficient machining skills to produce complex/difficult prototype and production parts to required specifications in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspects precision parts and has complete latitude to make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Works with a wide variety of materials, tooling and machine operations.
• Interprets complex engineering drawings and sketches to plan, layout, and establish set-up procedures.
• Inspects first-run and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Promptly and accurately completes all required recordkeeping.
• Performs machine maintenance and keeps machine and surrounding area clean, safe, and organized.
• Develops and recommends new methods to improve machine processes.
• Maintains security and confidentially.
• Responsible for keeping all labor hours with time system accurately.
• May provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.
• Works under the supervision of the Product Development Support Manager.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma
• 15+ Yrs Experience with CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Prior 3-Axis CNC Programming and Wire EDM experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical devices and/or orthopedics preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with CAM packages (MasterCam preferred)
• Prior 5-Axis CNC Programming and Wire EDM experience a plus.

• This position works in a typical office/manufacturing/warehouse environment.

• This position works in a typical manufacturing environment.
• Perform job duties for 8 or more hours a day
