Job Description

Overview:

Experienced Sr. Project Manager needed for high-profile Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) projects. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with TDOT standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams throughout the entire product development and implementation lifecycle.

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline creation, and risk management.

  • Track and evaluate project performance against established metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined quality standards.

  • Participate actively in project review and status meetings, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Employ six sigma and other established project management methodologies to optimize project effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Motivate and mentor project team members to achieve optimal performance.

  • Contribute to the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to capitalize on new business opportunities.

  • Manage project documentation and communication effectively.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (minimum 6 years) in project management, ideally within the technology or telecommunications industry.

  • Strong understanding and practical application of six sigma and other project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Good understanding of project financials.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent.

  • Experience with Motorola Solutions products and services.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Basic Requirements

  • ​​​Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of project/program management or similar business or technical experience.

  • OR 8+ years of project/program management or similar business or technical experience.
