Join Our Team as a Senior Project Manager in New York City!
Are you a dynamic and experienced Project Manager ready to take on complex, enterprise-wide projects? We seek a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in a hybrid role based in New York City. This consulting contract requires the candidate to live in the New York City metro area.
Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will plan, organize, and integrate large-scale projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise in project management, technical experience, and sound judgment will be crucial in achieving project goals.
- Establish and foster relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
- Understand clients' business processes to guide technology decisions effectively
- Evaluate internal applications and conduct market research to recommend the best IT solutions
- Prepare comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Provide vendor management from project inception to completion
- Oversee the Business Analysis process and develop rollout plans
- Execute projects from start to finish, meeting with key stakeholders to understand current operations
- Conduct JAD sessions or workshops to gather user requirements
- Assist in the development of functional requirement documents
- Maintain and update project schedules regularly
- Conduct status meetings and report project status to stakeholders and executive management
- Create presentations and conduct system/application demos for projects and stakeholders
- Collaborate with an existing PM on in-flight projects
This is an hourly position with opportunity for overtime.

- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in application and network deployment
- 7+ years of experience as an IT project manager leading complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
- Proficiency in managing SDLC Waterfall and/or Agile methodology projects
- Extensively experienced in creating project management artifacts
- Strong skills in gathering requirements, business analysis, and creating functional requirements documents
- Experience managing web-based applications, particularly .NET and Java solutions using SQL Server
- Experience working on cloud applications
