Position Summary
HCA ITG Scrum Masters are unique individuals who possess team leadership capabilities and the ability to drive development activities to completion. Scrum Masters provide leadership by aligning development teams to business goals and guiding though decisions which drive product development. In this role, the Scrum Master facilitates agile ceremonies to enable the team to meet their commitments, influence delivery quality, and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the Scrum Master is responsible for tracking team velocity and reporting on progress. The Scrum Master will also manage stakeholder requests and work to remove roadblocks impeding the team from meeting their sprint goals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate application development efforts utilizing agile principles
- Effectively lead agile ceremonies such as standups, grooming, planning, review, and retrospectives
- Confirm requirements align with business goals and application roadmaps
- Remove roadblocks to maintain progress and velocity
- Track team velocity and plan work based on team capacity
- Manage change, engage with stakeholders, apply governance and communicate impact
- Promote continuous improvement of lifecycle development processes through retrospectives
- Manage dependencies and coordinate resolutions across teams
- Track risks and issues, identify mitigation actions, and perform impact assessment
- Proactively assess team dynamic and address team dysfunction
- Structure and organize product backlog
- Ability to quickly adapt and pivot to changing business needs
- Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
- Ability to translate technical requirements to business language and value propositions
- Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
- Publishes periodic project status reports
- Delivers projects on time and on budget
- Regular project communication with IT and business leadership
- Responds to and resolves customer requests in a timely manner
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience working as a Project Manager role
- Must have a Scrum Master certification
- Experience needed in software implementation, cloud migration experience is a plus
- Strong Agile and Scrum framework knowledge
- Project planning and execution

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills Required

- 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- Scrum Master certification
