General Purpose:

The Sr. Project Manager plays a critical role in the successful delivery of TPx's comprehensive portfolio of Managed Services and Business Services solutions. This position is responsible for managing complex customer implementations, including UCx, MSx, Managed Connectivity Services, and other related solutions. The Sr. Project Manager oversees the full customer implementation lifecycle, from the start of the Implementation process through service activation, customer acceptance, and successful transition to support teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Project and Customer Management

  • Manage complex, multi-site customer implementations involving TPx products and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the implementation process for customers, internal teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to customers and stakeholders, including executives, sales teams, technical resources, and third-party vendors.
  • Establish implementation plans, timelines, milestones, and customer expectations.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Escalate customer concerns as appropriate and drive resolution to ensure a positive customer experience.

Service Delivery and Implementation

  • Coordinate all aspects of service delivery, including scheduling resources, customer activities, vendor engagements, equipment shipments, installations, porting activities, and service turn-up.
  • Manage customer delivery date expectations and ensure accurate tracking of order status throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Coordinate provisioning milestones, including order rejections, pending items, and required follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate service activation, testing, validation, and customer acceptance of delivered solutions.
  • Support service reconfigurations, moves, and disconnect activities as required.
  • Ensure successful handoff of completed implementations to billing, support, and downstream operational teams.

Technical and Operational Coordination

  • Develop a strong understanding of TPx products, services, and implementation processes.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Engineering, Operations, and other technical teams to address customer requirements and technical questions.
  • Assist customers with deployment planning, implementation strategy, and solution-related decisions.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in company systems, including project records, status updates, and implementation tracking tools.

Reporting and Process Management

  • Provide regular project status reporting to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Track implementation metrics and key milestones to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Monitor projects through final Retail Support Handoff and project closure.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and obtain customer sign-off when required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance implementation processes and customer experience.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications, voice, data, internet, managed services, or related industries required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-location customer deployments.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications, cloud communications, networking, and managed services solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project tracking systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
