The Senior Project Manager will lead complex capital, operational, and cross-functional projects from inception through design, construction, start-up, validation, and approval. This role will be responsible for driving project execution, stakeholder alignment, cost management, compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with manufacturing, materials, facilities, distribution, engineering, maintenance, quality, and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and execute capital projects from inception through design, construction, start-up, validation, and approval.
- Develop project timelines, oversee project team activities, and take accountability for project completion, deliverables, and business outcomes.
- Apply defined asset reconfiguration and project management processes to meet quality, customer service, cost, inventory, and business objectives.
- Drive project planning, execution, governance, and communication across cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups.
- Partner with manufacturing, materials, facilities, distribution, engineering, and maintenance teams to support smooth, continuous, cost-effective, and controlled project outcomes.
- Incorporate Lean, Six Sigma, process excellence, and project management methodologies to improve execution and deliver sustainable results.
- Ensure projects meet applicable quality, regulatory, health, safety, environmental, and company compliance requirements.
- Provide strong connectivity with core business processes, including MRP planning, S&OP, inventory management, interdependent projects, business planning, and succession planning.
- Gain alignment and buy-in from project teams, plant leaders, stakeholders, executive stakeholders, and Project Management Office forums.
- Monitor project budgets, manage costs, and ensure benefits realization for assigned projects.
- Communicate business-related issues, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to the appropriate management level.
- Coach project associates and workstream leaders while supporting skill and competency development for future project phases.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, engineering, project management, or a related function is required.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a regulated or healthcare-related environment is required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to influence across functions and levels of the organization.
- Working knowledge of process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Understanding of risk analysis, quality systems, and compliance requirements in a regulated environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple commitments, adapt to changing business needs, and solve complex technical or operational problems.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and related project management tools.
- 10 or more years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing operations, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Black Belt certification in Design Excellence, Six Sigma, or Lean is preferred.
- Process Excellence experience or certification is preferred.
- Experience working with global or multi-regional project teams is preferred.
- Experience presenting project updates, recommendations, risks, and opportunities to senior management is preferred.
- This position is located in Irving, TX.
- May require domestic and/or international travel based on business needs.
