The Role

Overview

What's exciting? 

  • New Product Introduction! Ground up native SaaS technology product that will be a major contributor to provide solution for the next gen supply chain execution and help supply chain entities respond to their real time disruptions. 
  • The opportunity to grow is huge as this team is a new forming team with highest visibility and especially this role is a key architect role to lead many of the decisions. 
  • Cloud native microservices. Microservices should be seamlessly deployable and operable in cloud.
  • Core responsibilities to include managing & driving engineering teams to Architect, build and design (along with counterparts and distinguished Architects) a ground up cloud native SaaS product in supply chain execution space.

Current Technical Environment 

  • Software: Java, Spring boot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth, ReactJS
  • Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant distributed Microservices architecture 
  • Cloud Architecture: Terraform, AKS/GKE/EKS, Kong, Kafka, Azure Logic

 Hazelcast/Apache Ignite, Cassandra/MongoDB, Snowflake/Delta Lake

ELK/Prometheus, Grafana 

  •  Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, NOSQL, Spark, RDBMS, Gradle GIT, Jenkins

What you will do: 

  • Manage software engineering teams that build, design, implement and maintains products and related services 
  • Manage the software development team, measure and improve team engagement, engineering excellence, productivity and team velocity.
  • Own the product quality, scalability, security and performance of applications, systems and integrations.
  • Lead complex technical and strategic discussions involving multiple personas including engineering, architect, product, customer and other stakeholders.
  • Lead a culture of innovation & experimentation, support full product development lifecycle incorporating the best of technology and delivery methodologies.
  • Coach and develop individual contributors and managers, foster a high performing and engineering culture.
  • Provide technical leadership to deliver software solutions that exceed customer expectations for entire software engineering teams. Stepping into code where and if needed and be a hands-on leader.
  • Participate in building roadmap features driven by testing methodology. 
  • Provide architectural design (inputs/suggestions) on features
  • Participate in implementing performance benchmark tests. Because when we measure, we improve. 

What we are looking for:

  • 12+ years of Experience in software development with understanding of Microservices architecture, data modelling and distributed system design.
  • 3+ years of experience in retail and supply chain technology and fulfilment domain.
  • Dynamic leader who has directly managed a team of highly skilled developers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong software product development background with passion for building scalable applications
  • Extensive experience on architecture/design; should not have moved away from software development
  • Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance and High availability
  • Understanding of varied tools such as Spring Boot, OAuth, REST, NoSQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark.
  • Understanding of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
