The SR. IT Project Manager will partner with the CECO ERP team and will be responsible for Enterprise Business Application transformation projects. In this role, you will lead cross functional teams, oversee process adherence, and ensure the successful delivery of multiple Enterprise Business Application implementation or enhancement projects. The project manager is expected to manage within scope, schedule, and cost constraints that require dynamic change management to deliver business value and quality. This role will require a strong understanding of Enterprise Business Applications (ERP, CRM, HCM) and will require industry experience with Microsoft D365.


The Project Manager will drive change management, support and lead cross functional teams comprised of internal resources, a third-party system-implementation partner, and interact with business stakeholders to implement and enhance enterprise applications utilizing both the waterfall and agile frameworks. 


Additionally, the IT Project Manager will be exposed to M&A Project Management Integration activities.  This includes working with acquired business workstreams to migrate business applications, mainly focused on ERP migrations.  The M&A Integration work will include fast-paced business interactions to ensure alignment and coordination with business objectives while leading and communicating changes associated with M&A Integration activities, all while minimizing disruption to business operations.  


Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Driving business application transformation projects, under direction from IT Program leadership. Take guidance and direction align with resources to create the ERP Migration Plan. 
  • Partnering with the IT ERP system architecture leads to outline timing, approach and scope. 
  • Communicate, communicate, communicate – all through the organization (IT and Business) all aspects of the migration.
  • Leading the way for ERP based migrations.  The Project Manager will be expected to run and manage ERP migrations as well as traditional IT-based projects. 
  • In this role the PM will create the IT PMO standard artifacts for each project: Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, tasks and required activities.
  • Providing leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confers with project staff to outline work plans.
  • Establishing a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Collaborating closely with internal/external Project Managers formally or informally.
  • Conducting risk assessments.  Develops and implements the appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Facilitating translation of business needs into functional requirements; effectively transitioning business requirements to solution delivery team, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of requirements.
  • Effectively managing organizational change, training, testing, data migration, cutover, etc.
  • Implementing project communication plan and conducts weekly status meetings (and stakeholder meetings) with business customers and prepares status reports.
  • Aligning with internal audit team to ensure all required documentation managed and archived for the projects assigned. 
  • Monitoring project activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the enterprise.
  • Ensuring that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives.
  • Assigning duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project team members.
  • Directing and coordinating the project schedule activities to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Following established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Full accountability for adherence to SOX controls compliance by following documented guidelines for project approvals and artifact management.  In this sense, the PM will be accountable for showing evidence for internal and external audit reviews. 
  • Having a “Continuous Improvement” mindset and bias to action - to identify improvements and achieves higher maturity capability in project and portfolio management.
  • Interacting and partners with project sponsors, key stakeholders, Project team/staff (including designated users and SMEs), Business unit (BU) management/executives, Business analysts, developers, and external service providers and consultants.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field and 5+ plus years of experience deploying Enterprise Business applications and customer facing technologies.
  • 5+ years working as a Project Manager in a corporate IT organization.
  • Recent and relevant experience in performing D365 ERP Migrations. 
  • Has a working knowledge of SOX Compliance activities within the context of project management duties. 
  • Experience building strong relationships with collaborators across an organization and external partners. 
  • Experience moving technical projects forward with minimal oversight, and ability to adapt to latest information, situations, or challenges.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of using Azure Dev Ops to manage ERP projects
  • 5-7 years of experience with ERP Migrations is preferred.  D365 F&O experience is required. 
  • Previous M&A Integration project management experience is highly desired and considered a plus. 
  • PMP certification is a plus, well versed with PMBOK knowledge areas and application of processes in conventional/hybrid projects.
  • Agile certification such as CSM or PSM preferred. Prior experience in the Engineering design, and/or commercial industrial manufacturing industry is helpful.

 

Travel Requirements: Some travel required domestically and internationally.
