Sr. Project Engineer
Job Summary: Position is instrumental in ensuring delivery of Engineering/Project Management services to Dairy Foods Operations. Position is responsible for managing and conducting engineering assessments, cost estimates, design requirements and execution of small to medium size capital projects. Will work closely with plant management/operations and corporate functions on development of project scope, layout design, process design, capital budgeting, contractor/vendor selection and management, equipment specifications and purchases, coordinate execution of plans
Location: Arden Hills (Hybrid)
Salary: $130,000.00- 170,000.00 DOE
Responsibilities

Manage planning/execution of $10MM plus in annual capital spend within one manufacturing facility

Manage and prepares specifications for design of building, utilities, process and equipment.

Manage external Engineering resources and contractors on capital projects. Develops capital project budgets for process/facilities upgrades. Coordinates execution of projects from conception thru commissioning.

Prepares layout plans for efficient/effective plant processes.

Assist in the selection of plant equipment recommendations and standard operating procedures to optimize processes and meet product specifications.

Conduct facilities/process assessments to identify asset deficiencies and execute corrective action as required. Work with plant operations and corporate functions on strategic projects involving business growth/innovation, quality improvements, safety, environmental, energy improvements.

Remains current on existing and emerging technological advances regarding facilities and process equipment.
Required Experience:

Minimum 10 years of capital project management experience involving coordination of cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge of USDA Dairy and 3A requirements

Strong background in utilities, PSM, and ammonia refrigeration

Strong knowledge regarding principles and practices of food (Dairy) manufacturing, including: Sanitary design, GMPs, food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

Potential for up to 50% Travel
Preferred Requirements: Engineering Degree from accredited university
