The Opportunity
This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the EP division.
In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Sr. Manager, Program Management, you'll have the chance lead Abbott Advanced Tech Center Research and Development site's Pulsed Field Ablation Portfolio focusing on the Pulsed Field Ablation Generator, TactiSys Contact Force Device and Ampere RF Generator. Develop a disruptive technology in electrophysiology that promises to revolutionize patient treatment and prove its safety, efficacy, and efficiency. This is a top priority program with high visibility in a double-digit growth business that will play a major role in shaping our future portfolio.
What You'll Work On
- Leading and optimizing development efforts to meet the market needs by developing a high confidence schedule and contract, maintaining scope and budget, presenting status/updates to executive leadership and proposing solutions from a set of development options
- Coordinating across multiple R&D teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, HDL, Systems Design and Verification teams, cross functional stakeholders including Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain by casting vision and resolving resource conflicts
- Driving accountability through identifying dependencies, critical path tasks and forward looking forecasting of program and technical risks, mitigations for those risks and key team decisions with trade offs
- Creating, leading and releasing Project Plans, Contracts, Design Reviews and Technical Reviews
- Organizing and coordinating the build and use of prototype builds and system component integrations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science discipline
- 7+ years of leadership experience in a medical device, biomedical or high technology industry
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years project management of electro-mechanical systems (electrical, mechanical and firmware/software
- Advanced level degree(s) in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Extensive medical device industry experience

$127,300.00 – $254,700.00
