About the Role

As a Senior Program Manager (PMO), you will lead the Program Management Teams (PMTs) through release planning and execution for a set of products, while taking a strategic leadership role in managing high-impact initiatives. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence across a heavily matrixed organization.

You will work closely with Product Management and Engineering leaders, guiding teams through Agile methodologies, driving decisions that enhance product quality, and leveraging AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and decision-making. This is a highly visible role that involves reporting to c-suite stakeholders and collaborating across multiple functions to ensure successful delivery of programs critical to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership
    • Lead complex, strategic projects impacting multiple product lines and business units.
    • Drive alignment across stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of high-priority initiatives.
  • Agile Leadership
    • Champion Agile methodologies for assigned product lines, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams on Agile principles.
  • Program Lifecycle Management
    • Manage all key milestones of product creation: inception, program approval, planning, development, organizational readiness, Beta/LCA, and release launch.
    • Track and manage milestones, risks, and mitigations, providing weekly dashboards on program health.
  • Ad Hoc Team Leadership
    • Provide guidance to ad hoc teams, helping them make informed decisions that enhance product quality and customer experience.
    • Act as a decision-making facilitator when teams face complex challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Support, Documentation, Legal, Business Operations, and Partnerships teams.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations for program success.
  • Proactive AI Utilization
    • Leverage AI-driven tools and analytics to improve program efficiency, automate reporting, and enhance decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into workflows for risk prediction, resource optimization, and faster delivery cycles.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including c-suite stakeholders.
    • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable updates on program status, risks, and decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
    • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and program outcomes.
    • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience shipping production software.
  • 7+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, with flexibility to adapt to organizational needs.
  • Strong communicator and listener with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience in security and software security (application security) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent real-world experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate in a heavily matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience in managing global teams and complex, multi-site programs.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Pay Range
$98,600$125,000 CAD
