Department Specific Functions

Assists efforts to support faculty in their research and creative production and enhances school reputation by assisting in the development, monitoring, and reporting of budgets, procurement processes, student hiring, vendor onboarding, expense reconciliation, event planning, and educating faculty. Secures funding for projects and managing the administration of applications, fulfilling requirements to acquire funds, and drafting reports and other documents as requested by the funding parties. This position enables faculty to understand and comply with policies to ensure operational efficiencies. Assists in reporting on funding opportunities for faculty. Assists in preparation of reports and analysis regarding research and gifts to enhance school reputation. Ensures that all applications are submitted according to the funding party's instructions and that deadlines are met for funding opportunities. Responds to online and other inquiries in a timely manner. Serves as host to guests and coordinates visits. Monitors budgets in conjunction with the business office and performs other financial responsibilities to support faculty (processing reimbursements, creating purchase orders, reconciling accounts, etc.). Assists in coordination of special events for Research, Global, and the 4C’s Center, and other areas as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications     

                                                                                

Education:

High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred.

Experience:

Three years of related work experience. Any relevant education and/or work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Excellent writing skills.  Ability to prepare reports for audiences including grant-making organizations.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow precise instructions and requirements.
  • Adaptable and willing to perform a variety of tasks.
  • Skilled in time management and able to handle many concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
