Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, proactive stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to schedule quality and EVMS compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a monthly program controls cadence, coordinating cost and schedule activities across weekly reporting cycles.
  • Lead month-end close activities by ensuring alignment and reconciliation of cost and schedule data between accounting systems and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Collaborate with cost analysts and scheduling analysts to maintain data consistency across multiple systems, including baseline schedules, forecast dates, and earned value metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver internal leadership and external customer reports by analyzing program performance data and validating reporting accuracy.
  • Support reporting requirements for prime contractors, government customers, and executive leadership through comprehensive performance analysis and data presentation.
  • Execute schedule change management processes by updating project status, incorporating progress, and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Monitor schedule health using established metrics to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
  • Conduct Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) to evaluate schedule confidence, assess critical path accuracy, and identify potential delivery risks.
  • Analyze critical path and schedule performance to support risk-informed decision-making and improve forecast reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and audit requirements by maintaining high-quality schedule data and documentation.
  • Build stakeholder confidence by providing accurate program performance reporting, maintaining schedule integrity, and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate continuous planning activities by completing ongoing schedule updates, resolving outstanding actions, and preparing for subsequent monthly reporting cycles.

  • How technical, financial, and schedule elements interact in real time—something that’s rarely visible from the outside.
  • The dynamics of customer‑funded, cost‑type contracts and how schedule decisions influence negotiations, funding profiles, and program direction.
  • How to apply EVMS principles not just for compliance, but as a true management tool that drives decisions.
  • Techniques for incorporating new customer‑awarded work without disrupting ongoing execution.
  • Best practices for baseline control, traceability, and audit‑ready documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience working and analyzing large datasets, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) or similar lifecycle phases.
  • Prior involvement with cost‑redeterminable or cost‑type contracts.
