Job Description
 

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Launch Excellence

  • Lead the development and execution of brand strategies and launch plans across Spain and Portugal, ensuring alignment with local and global priorities.
  • Drive launch excellence, ensuring strong readiness, flawless execution, rapid issue resolution, and achievement of plan milestones and business objectives.
  • Translate customer, market, competitive, scientific, and healthcare system insights into actionable growth strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Continuously assess business performance, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively adapt strategies to maximize impact.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead agency management and ensure high-quality development and agile execution of promotional materials, campaigns, and customer programs.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring optimal investment decisions and strong ROI.
  • Demonstrate excellence in project management, prioritization, and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Customer-Centric Marketing & Omnichannel Engagement

  • Design and execute integrated omnichannel customer engagement strategies that deliver personalized and impactful experiences across physical and digital channels.
  • Leverage customer segmentation, journey mapping, and behavioral insights to optimize engagement strategies and resource allocation.
  • Utilize analytics, customer data, and performance metrics to measure effectiveness, generate insights, and continuously improve marketing initiatives.
  • Champion innovative approaches including AI-enabled solutions, Next Best Action principles, content personalization, and test-and-learn methodologies.

External Engagement & Market Understanding

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including KOLs, scientific societies, advocacy organizations, and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the evolving healthcare environment, market access landscape, and competitive dynamics across Spain and Portugal.
  • Partner with Market Access and Medical teams to ensure customer strategies support successful access, adoption, and long-term market growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a strategic leader across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, and external partners to ensure aligned execution.
  • Influence without authority and lead matrix cross-functional initiatives across Spain, Portugal, and Global teams.
  • Active participation in regional and global discussions, shaping strategy through strong market expertise and customer understanding.
  • Own and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, product management, or commercial roles.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting successful pharmaceutical product launches.
  • Experience working across Spain and Portugal strongly preferred.
  • Experience in specialty care, rare diseases, hepatology, gastroenterology, or hospital products is required.

Operational & Strategic Capabilities

  • Strong strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to translate insights into measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience operating successfully in fast-paced launch and growth-stage brands, guaranteeing excellence in execution.
  • Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, prioritization and decision-making capabilities.

Digital, Analytics & Innovation

  • Demonstrated experience developing omnichannel customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of customer analytics, segmentation, digital marketing, CRM, and commercial performance measurement.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to optimize customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Interest and experience in applying innovative technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, customer personalization, and predictive insights.

Functional Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance requirements, and promotional review processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and external partners.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish. Portuguese is an advantage.
